Podcast; Star Wars Galaxies stuff
Posted by: Dis

It has been a busy summer so far. It usually is but not like this year, I am praying for everything to please STOP.

I should be getting all the equipment for my Podcast very soon. I've been looking at different mixers and items, so, I am very close to deciding on what I need.

Lately, I have been getting back into playing Star Wars Galaxies. I took a few month break but I just can't stay away. I enjoy the game even with the problems that it has. My biggest complaint is with how the game play has changed. SWG used to be very accessible, it was a game where anyone could jump right in and be able to battle with the best of them. Now, it is more like a FPS. This makes it a lot more fast paced and less attractive to the casual gamer. I understand that they are fixing the targeting system so that when you target something all you need to do is fire instead of manually aiming and firing. We will see what happens but it would be a step in the right direction.

Another complaint, there are too many freakin' JEDI now. Making this a a starting proffession was a mistake. Yes, I was one once, but this was when it took a long journey to become one.

I'm back, again; Simpler controller for Xbox 360?
Posted by: Dis

It was not my intention to take this long to make an update. My family and I took a vacation over the long 4th of July weekend. Plus, guess what? More PC problems. I figured out what it was, it was a junky graphics card. If you are looking to buy yourself one, then stay away from ASUS. The cards seem to run very hot, even with a liquid cooling system, like I have, they can run too hot. My new card is a Gigabyte Geforce 7950 GX2. It is very nice and runs great but the price is steep. Now I shouldn't have a problem for some time.

In an interview with Gamertag Radio, Microsoft's Peter Moore hinted toward a simpler controller for the 360. Read more here, http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3151581. I am very curious to see what they come up with. If they can do away with some buttons this would make games easier for us. Less buttons for a console to me is a good thing.
